Five years ago few Americans had heard of a caipirinha, much less cachaça. But today, Leblon Cachaça is pleased to accept the “2010 Rising Star Growth Award”. Though we are honored to be recognized for our steady and dramatic growth, we would love to accept this award on behalf of the entire category of cachaça. We see this not as an award honoring Leblon’s history but promise for the future of a spirit that is 478 years old.

We’d like to celebrate with you by toasting with a very special caipirinha: The Rising Star Caipirinha. As always, made best with Leblon but appreciated with any fine cachaça. Saúde!

The Rising Star Caipirinha

2 oz Leblon Cachaça
½ oz Fresh grapefruit juice
½ oz coriander-cumin syrup
½ oz fresh lemon juice
5 micro cilantro
1 oz guava juice

Pour ingredients in a shaker. Add ice, shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a slice of star fruit.
