Tipple Tuesday: Groundhog Day

In honor of Groundhog Day, February 2nd, we celebrate with the popular movie of the same name. TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) relives every day as Groundhog Day in the small town Pennsylvania headquarters of the main groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil.  In his attempt to swoon his co-worker and producer Rita (Andie MacDowell), Phil drinks her favorite tipple, Sweet Vermouth on the rocks with a twist… a drink he detests. So here’s to the groundhog, everyone raise a glass of Sweet or Rosato Vermouth by MARTINI, and hope Phil doesn’t see his shadow, allowing an early spring.

Vermouth Cocktail

In a Double Old-Fashion cocktail glass filled with ice, pour MARTINI Rosso or Rosato vermouth. Stir and twist a lemon peel over the glass. Serve with a cocktail straw and lemon twist as garnish.
