Betty White Quotes

“Why do people say “grow some balls”? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding”

“I have a two-story house and a bad memory, so I’m up and down those stairs all the time. That’s my exercise.”

“I’ve always liked older men. They’re just more attractive to me. Of course, at my age there aren’t that many left! I’ve enjoyed the opposite sex a lot. Always have. Always will.”

Answers:

1. True or False: Betty White was originally considered for the role of Blanche on The Golden Girls? True – Rue McClanahan was to play Rose and Betty White was to play Blanche (The producers originally wanted Rue to play a version of her naive Vivian Cavender character from Maude and Betty White to play a version of her man-hungry Sue Ann Nivens from The Mary Tyler Moore Show.) They switched roles because they didn’t want to be typecast.

2. Both Betty White and Mr. T have done TV ads for?
a. Travelocity
b. Snickers
c. Burger King

3. Name the game show host who was White’s husband for 17 years? White was married to “Password” host Allen Ludden

4. White played Rose Nylund on four series. What were they? White played Rose on “The Golden Girls” and the show’s follow up “The Golden Palace.” And she also appeared as the characters on the spinoffs “Empty Nest” and “Nurses.”

5. Why did Betty White turn down the role of Helen Hunt’s mother in “As Good As It Gets?” The animal rights activist turned down the role in the hit film “As Good As It Gets” because she didn’t like the treatment of a dog in a scene.
