On January 20th, for anyone in Miami, the place to be was on the Carrousel yacht. Diageo’s National Accounts Team hosted a blowout fete-a-fete aboard the 135 foot luxury vessel. Stationed at the Riverwalk Dock just outside the Hyatt Regency, this party was Diageo’s way of saying, “Welcome to Miami!” to the many folks attending the Cheers Beverage Conference.
On board, VIPs were treated to freshly rolled cigars, tastings of the many fine Scotches in Diageo’s portfolio, signature cocktails, passed wine and hors d’oeuvres, and a lounge atmosphere with a smooth jazzy feel. And that was just on the first level!
Once upstairs, guests could get a bite to eat, have an ice cold Ketel One Martini served to them from a custom-made ice bar, order a signature drink from a beautiful cocktail waitress, or dance the night away to a DJ spinning the latest sounds.
The “Open Air” top deck was the crowning jewel and boasted a live Salsa band with dancers who put on a captivating and lively performance! There was also another bar serving a variety of signature cocktails featuring even more of Diageo’s outstanding spirits!
Diageo introduced several new products and had plenty of the classic favorites on hand as well. There was something for everyone at this party and everyone had a fantastic time! Not only did Diageo welcome their customers and friends to Miami, they started off 2009 with a bang!
