Here is my favourite holiday cocktail… also my favourite cocktail period right now!
½ oz Hills Absinthe (anise flavored spirit)
1 ½ oz Cointreau
1 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
2 dashes Fee Brothers grapefruit bitters
Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Drink History – Grapefruit is one of my favourite ingredients to work with and during a mixology Monday session at BartenderOne, we decided to try an absinthe based cocktail that wasn’t overpoweringly anise based. The Cointreau and Ruby red are brilliant compliments and make this drink tasty and reminiscent of an evening with friends.
