GARDINER, New York (January 14, 2013) – Tuthilltown Spirits LLC., New York’s first whiskey distillery since prohibition, has announced the appointment of Richard Lindsay as Chief Executive Officer effective January 14th, 2013. The distillery’s decision to appoint its first CEO was made to add leadership to support the rapid growth the company is experiencing.
Ralph Erenzo, Tuthilltown’s Co-founder and chief ambassador commented, “As the result of Richard’s leadership we have been able to strengthen our financial position and have become more forward looking. We are now in the position to enter new markets with the innovative products that Tuthilltown is known for in the industry.” Tuthilltown Co-founder Brian Lee added, “Richard’s industry expertise has been invaluable across all aspects of our business and we are confident in his ability to bring our vision of Tuthilltown to the next level.”
Previous to appointment as Tuthilltown CEO, Mr. Lindsay was a consultant and certified public accountant providing business advisory and valuation services to members of the craft distilling and brewing industry. Tuthilltown has retained Mr. Lindsay as a consultant since May 2012. Mr. Lindsay obtained his initial beverage company experience while working for the Boston Beer Company where he held several roles including that of Chief Financial Officer. Since that time he has held other CFO roles for organizations ranging in size from start-ups to companies traded publicly on the NYSE and NASDAQ.
